NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH HOME PAGE
The Brookscroft Neighbourhood Watch scheme has now been live for over two years. The estate is divided into 5 sections, each of which is looked after by a volunteer co-ordinator who lives in their own section. They are responsible for distributing leaflets and relevant information and are your point of contact.
"This means that the interests of the residents will be looked after by a fellow neighbour who will be familiar with the location and it's particular circumstances."
New residents or existing residents wishing to join should contact their co-ordinator (see map for details). Joining simply involves signing a record sheet and you will be issued with a window sticker and you will recieve leaflets etc. about local issues and how to make your home safe.
Police statistics show that criminals are 80% less likely to try to break into a property in which a neighbourhood watch scheme is active and this is backed up by the fact that most insurers offer at least 5-10% discount on their contents policies to Neighbourhood Watch scheme members.

Brookscroft Management Limited are also working with the Metropolitan Police on reviewing the lighting etc. around the estate and establishing measures that can be taken to design out the problems of crime and vandalism.
"It should be remembered that the overall reason for starting a Neighbourhood Watch scheme is to help make people feel more comfortable and secure about living in their own homes."
